The happy s crew

 Family-Owned Business

Happy S Farms, LLC is a locally owned and operated farm located in Stonewall, LA. The owners are Nessa & Kim George. Nessa is a career firefighter & paramedic in her 20th year of public service. Kim is licensed in insurance in Louisiana, but she runs their farm full time, while homeschooling their teenage daughter, Miranda.

In our spare time, between running a business, farm, school, and firefighting, we enjoy the simple things. We have Sunday dinners, where Kim is the star of the show. Kim has been known for bringing dinners to all her loved ones, wherever they may be. Traveling often to Oklahoma and beyond, Kim is always on the move to spread love and her joy of cooking classic southern tradition meals.

The Roots of Happy S Farms

As a little girl, Kim was always on the heels of her parents. From the time she could walk, she was riding the tractor with her Daddy and working in the garden with him. Growing up between SE Texas and Oklahoma during the summers, rural areas are mostly all she’s ever known. Gardening has become a passion of hers as an adult and was something that she shared a deep connection with her Daddy for. Her Daddy recently passed in April 2024, forever changing the way Kim will look at and work her garden. He taught her how to make jelly, which is something that she will always cherish with every jar she makes. In her younger years, she moved with her Momma to the Shreveport area. Her Pappaw got sick with cancer and she moved in with her grandparents primarily to spend time with him before his passing. At the age of 8, her Mammaw decided she was old enough to start learning how to cook. For the remainder of all the holiday events, all of the desserts were made by her. After her Mammaw’s passing in 2021, Kim has continued hosting the holidays and cooking her Mammaw’s food. Losing 2 of the most influential people in her life has molded her to become the best version of herself in the kitchen. She strives to put forth the effort to bring out the best flavors to her customers in their memories.

ABOUT HAPPY S FARMS

Childhood dreams of farming

Happy S Farms is a family owned farm. The property where it resides is Nessa’s multi generation family owned land. Her grandparents previously owned Silver S Farms, a miniature horse farm on the property. Wanting to keep the family name, Salter, in mind, Happy S was formed. Here on the property, we have a 1,400 sq foot garden with a variety of produce used for our canned products. Kim loves her chickens and sells fresh eggs locally as well.

Jams,jellies,and snacks,  oh my!

We offer a wide variety of products. Our canned goods are processed by Kim at our home on the farm. Our line of jams & jellies are keeping up with the seasons, and are ever changing. Kim likes a good challenge so it’s a favorite pastime to see what new flavors she can create. Our salsa & pickle selections are made from a variety of produce grown on the farm. Our newest venture has been with freeze drying. We offer freeze dried candies as well as fresh fruits, pickles and select vegetables.
